Yotam Solomon may have designing for the stars down to a science but the LA-based designer gets political this season with his latest "BP Oil Spill" collection. While the line has always called itself an "eco-friendly luxury line," Solomon is taking things to the next level; Not only is he raising awareness for the still unresolved ecological disaster, but he's also donating proceeds of the line's sales to the NRDC and Defenders of Wildlife. Taking inspiration from the spill itself, Yotam creates shoes that—though tasteful or not—resemble the oil-slicked feathers of stranded birds.
