BEAUTY ICON: MARISA BERENSON

BEAUTY ICON: MARISA BERENSON
Vittoria Marisa Schiaparelli Berenson (born February 15, 1947, New York City)
is an American actress and model.

Early life

She is the elder daughter of Robert L. Berenson, an American diplomat turned shipping executive, who was of Lithuanian Jewish descent; his family's original surname was Valvrojenski. Her mother was born Countess Maria Luisa Yvonne Radha de Wendt de Kerlor, better known as Gogo Schiaparelli, a socialite of Italian, Swiss, French, and Egyptian ancestry.

Berenson's maternal grandmother was the fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli  and her maternal grandfather was Count Wilhelm de Wendt de Kerlor, a Theosophist and psychic medium. Her younger sister, Berinthia, became a model, actress, and photographer as Berry Berenson. She also is a great-grandniece of Giovanni Schiaparelli, an Italian astronomer who believed he had discovered the supposed canals of Mars, a great-grandniece of art expert Bernard Berenson (1865–1959) and his sister Senda Berenson (1868–1954), an athlete and educator who was one of the first two women elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Personal life
In the early 1970s, Berenson was the companion of the French banking heir Baron David René de Rothschild, the younger son of Baron Guy de Rothschild.
Berenson's first husband was James Randall, a rivet manufacturer. They married in Beverly HillsCalifornia, in 1976 and divorced in 1978. They have one daughter, Starlite Melody Randall (born 1977).

Her second husband was Aaron Richard Golub, a lawyer, whom she married in 1982 and divorced in 1987. In the divorce proceedings, the judge ruled that "the increased value of Ms. Berenson's acting and modeling career [during the marriage] were marital property" and therefore subject to consideration in any settlement agreements.

On September 11, 2001, Marisa's younger sister and sole sibling, Berinthia "Berry" Perkins, widow of actor Anthony Perkins, was killed in the first flight to hit the World Trade Center. Marisa was also in an airplane during the terrorist attacks, flying from Paris to New York. In an interview with CBS, she told of the experience and how hours later she landed in Newfoundland (flights were diverted to Canada), and was told of her sister's death by a phone call with her daughter. Said Berenson: "I have hope and tremendous faith. I think that's what gets you through life ... through tragedies is when you have faith."

Marisa and Jim Randall lived in a million-dollar mansion in Beverly Hills he bought from Debbie Reynolds. The house had a private movie theater with 35mm projectors fitted with Cinemascope lenses. It also included his and hers bathrooms, the floors and walls of which were marble and granite. It had three swimming pools with waterfalls one into the other on the side of a hill. It had a private barbershop with regulation barber chair, sauna and gym. The house was fitted with state-of-the-art security devices which included TV camera, motion detectors and wireless "panic buttons" which they carried with them in the house, and which were wired directly into the Beverly Hills Police Dept. A security guard lived on the premises and manned a control room in the basement where he monitored the TV cameras, etc. The wedding of Randall and Berenson was held in this house, and George Hamilton was Randall's best man. The reception turned into a brawl when some of the guests got into a fight.

Personal Quotes
She was just this angel that landed on this planet for a short amount of time. - On her late sister Berry Berenson
I hope she didn't suffer. It's hard to take in. I have hope and tremendous faith. I think that's what gets you through life...through tragedies is when you have faith. -- MB commenting on the plane crash death of her sister Berry during the 9/11 attacks.
My ultimate goal is to become a saint.

Mykie's Note:
Ever so attractive & ubber Glamorous, She  sometimes seemed to be more famous for her striking beautyand her social status of the time, one of the pretty jet set crowd, pedigree darling,  and she had pedigree in abundance. At the same time she was a serious talented actress.Cast on the more decorative parts in American films, but in international productions she was given better opportunities to showcase her talent.
I have seen many of her films and she does have an amazing grace on film. I wish she would have done more American films.

ARE CHANGINING YOUR PAD?

I Knew That Tittle Would Get Your Attention......

I read a tweet today that asked, "When was the last time you changed your eyelash curler pad?" And i thought to myself, i don't, I just buy a new one, or two....

I have maybe like 6 eyelash curlers in my kit, like I said already, I just buy a new one, and when I work with a specific  actress, i have one that i only use on them. But if you take care of your lash curler and gently wipe and clean the rubber pad with warm water , no chemicals near the eyes! after every time you use it, the pad should last you up to six months.

As for the Actual lash curler, I use The amazing Shu Uemura  brand, I just love it and I  see it in most artist makeup kits ~ just try not to just toss it in your bag, place it in a case or if packing it in a kit, keep it in the box, it will help prolong the life of the curler and try not to drop it, like tweezers, when you drop them way to often, they loose suspension and they just don't work that great after awhile.

I found that you do actually get a  much better curl if you replace the pad, the older pads seem to break down and leave an indent by the pressure of the metal  pressing against it. Believe me, I have seen people cut their lashes right off, after a while if you don't change the pad, it can create a slit in the rubber  that's not noticeable and then its, chop chop lashes! So its in your best interest to get new pads. 2 for $6.00. cheaper then wearing false lashes everyday right?

My All Time Favorite!!! MUST HAVE!

Are You Doing It Right? How To Do Blush

    • How To Apply Your Blush (in case you didn't already know)

Select a color of blush that resembles the natural glow of your cheeks after you exercise. Consider having a lighter color for day, and a darker tone for a more dramatic evening look. Keep your blush in the same color family as your lipstick.
    • Consider the type of blush best suited to your skin type. Cream blush works very well for drier skin, as it can help to keep skin hydrated. Powder blush is better suited to oily skin.
    • Complete the application of foundation, powder and all eye makeup before applying blush.
    • Use a full, round brush for the application of your powder blush, as it will make for a softer and more professional look than the brush that comes with the blush. This should not be the same brush you use to apply your loose powder.

    • Place a small amount of blush on the brush and gently tap off any excess. Or, place a small amount of cream on your middle finger.

    • Look in the mirror and smile.

    • Place powder blush on the apple of your cheek and gently brush up your cheekbone toward your hairline. Dot cream blush beginning at the apple, and gently blend up the cheekbone toward the hairline.
    • Focus your blush at the outside of your face near your hairline if you have a fuller face. For high cheekbones, concentrate blush in the center of your face to accentuate your bones.
    • Blend a little blush down your cheek for a little more natural, less dramatic look.
And remember these are just the simple techniques, i suggested that you try different  looks and styles to find what visually your comfortable with. There are now rules, just try to prevent doll cheeks.

Mykie Tip:  For a rosier cheek, consider a gel or liquid tints. and remember to wash your hands really good after using these products, they can stain rather easy.

Try to remember the lighter your skin tone, the lighter your blush color should be.

Wash  your brushed with a makeup remover or non soap cleaners.
And avoid following the underside of your cheekbones. which makes for an artificial and not so pretty look, Just saying...
